Puppy Purchase Process, Selection & Pickup Policy

Bringing home a Labrador Retriever puppy should be joyful and exciting. We aim to make the process smooth and transparent while protecting the health of our puppies, who are raised inside our home and have developing immune systems.

Registration

All puppies are sold with Limited AKC Registration, meaning they are fully AKC registered but any future offspring cannot be registered. This is ideal for families seeking a loving companion or performance dog.

If you are interested in Full AKC Registration (breeding rights), please let us know in your application. We will select the puppy that best upholds our breeding standards. Full registration requires a separate written contract. Full AKC registration is $3,200.00 and requires a $500.00 deposit.

Application Process:

Just start by filling out a simple application (click here). It's our way of getting to know you better and making sure each of our puppies finds a loving, well-matched home.

Nonrefundable Deposit

Once your application is approved, we will email you steps to submit a $300 non-refundable deposit to reserve your puppy.

We prefer communication through email/text so everything is clearly documented and organized. We typically do not offer phone calls, but if needed after a deposit is placed, we will do our best to accommodate.

The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price, with the remaining balance due at pickup. Please also complete and submit our sales contract.

Puppies are priced at $1,900 with AKC Limited Registration.

If circumstances change, the deposit is non-refundable but may be transferred one time within two years. After that, a new application and deposit will be required.

Puppy Picture & Update Schedule

We love sharing updates and watching families fall in love as puppies grow! While balancing school, family, and hands-on care, we follow a consistent update schedule:

  • Birth: Group photos

  • 4 Weeks: Individual photos/videos

  • 6 Weeks: Individual photos/videos

Updates are typically posted on Instagram stories, but we can send them via text/email if preferred.

Puppy Selection

Picks go in order of deposits received (breeder always reserves first pick rights).

For health, safety, and biosecurity reasons, we do not allow in-home visits.

Puppies can be selected through:

  • FaceTime/video calls

  • Photos and videos

  • Detailed communication and guidance

After their vet exam and breeder temperament evaluations (6–8 weeks), families will receive:

  • Temperament testing results

  • Updated photos/videos

  • Personality descriptions

You will have 24 hours (in order of deposits) to choose your puppy.

We strongly encourage choosing based on personality and lifestyle fit, not just appearance.

If preferred, we are happy to select a puppy for you based on your lifestyle and goals.

We are deeply committed to placing each puppy in the best possible home for lifelong success.

If this process is not the right fit for you, we completely understand and are happy to refer you to another breeder.

Transparency & References

We previously allowed in-home visits and understand why some families value that.

However, for safety and health reasons, we no longer allow access to our home, property or dogs.

We are always happy to:

  • Provide references from past families

  • Share photos/videos of parents

  • Schedule FaceTime calls so you can pick your puppy if needed.

Health, Safety & Biosecurity

We take the role of protecting our dogs very seriously.

  • Our dogs are family dogs and are vaccinated, loved, and well cared for

  • They are raised in a home and love to sleep in bed every night!

  • We do not expose them to dog parks.

We are the protector of our dogs and puppies, and their health comes first.

Young puppies are especially vulnerable, and illness can be brought in on:

  • Shoes

  • Clothing

  • Hands

  • Contact with other animals

  • Airborne

Just like you wouldn’t walk into a hospital nursery and handle newborn babies, we apply that same level of protection to our puppies. They are babies too!
